Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated every year on the Chaturthi date of Bhadrapada month. In this ten day long Ganeshotsav, devotees worship Lord Ganesha, the god of happiness, prosperity and knowledge.
The festival continues for 10 days from Ganesh Chaturthi (Ganesh Puja 2023).

Correct auspicious time of Ganesh Chaturthi
According to the Hindu calendar, Ganesh Chaturthi will start at 2:09 pm on 18 September 2023, which will last till 3:13 pm on 19 September.
Auspicious time for installation of idol of Shri Ganeshji (Ganesh Puja 2023)
As per the Hindu calendar for the auspicious time for sathapna of the Lord Ganesha will be from 11:08 am to 1:33 pm on 19 September 2023.Whereas, immersion will be done exactly after 10 days.
Method of worship of Lord Vighnaharta Ganesh ji
- Bring Lord Ganesha to your home with full pomp and show.
- After installing the idol, perform Jalabhishek of the Lord (Ganesh Puja 2023)
- After this, decorate the Lord with clothes and jewellery.
- Apply yellow or red sandalwood tilak to Ganpati Bappa.
- Offer yellow flowers, Akshat, Kalva and Durva grass to the Lord.
- Now perform the Aarti of Lord Ganesha with incense and ghee lamp.
- Offer five fruits and laddus to the Lord.
- It will be auspicious to recite Ganesh Chalisa.
- After this don’t forget to pray for forgiveness.
